"Solarium": Co-authored with my friend Kimberly Kay. "Solarium" is a short story published in a solarpunk dragon anthology, Wings of Renewal. The new sci-fi subgenre "solarpunk" centers around a bright and sustainable future, as opposed to gritty, dark, and tragic dystopia or post-apocalyptic stories. This is a future where humanity realized what they were doing and were able to save the environment. Having a perfect (or near-perfect) environment forces writers, then, to focus on the people living in it. As steampunk is generally Victorian in style, solarpunk is based in Art Nouveau.
"Solarium" focuses on Saumyi, a girl of Indian descent and her dragon, Zon, who is the spirit-dragon personification of the Amazon Rainforest, restored from near-destruction in this future. But dragons have begun to go missing, and Saumyi goes searching for them. She meets Haru, a young Japanese man, along the way, and he swears he can lead her to the dragons. Which, while true, is not exactly an honest promise...

Cooking Through College: To be released in August 2016 through Cedar Fort! It will be co-authored with fellow editor Chelsea Jackson. The book contains 150 recipes geared toward reluctant and first-time chefs. This is the book I needed when I moved out for the first time during college. There were many recipes I did know how to make, but I never made them. I spent too much time worrying about affording the ingredients, finding the time, and storing the leftovers in my tiny fridge because my roommates rarely helped me eat my creations for various reasons. Now that I have lived on my own for a few years and know a few things, I have decided to pass them on to other young students trying to live off ramen and cheap fast food like I was.
